AutoCAD Draftsman / Estimator

Senica Air Conditioning, Inc. is an established residential, light commercial, replacement and new construction company looking to fill an experienced, full-time drafting design position in our Spring Hill office (16640 Shady Hills Road, Spring Hill, FL 34610). This position is NOT a remote / work-from-home position. This is NOT an entry level position. It is located at our main office in Spring Hill, FL. Visit our website at www.senicaair.com.

AutoCAD Draftsman / Estimator

  • Work with builders and individual clients to generate load calculations, energy code compliance reports, HVAC layouts (AutoCAD) and estimates based on the customers construction plans / building specs
  • Prepare Manual J, Manual S, and Energy Code Compliance Reports for permitting
  • Perform quantity take-offs and pricing of HVAC for various sized jobs
  • Perform layout and sizing of ductwork, ventilation and mechanical equipment as required to provide a complete system for estimating purposes
  • Maintain all files of all open bids / change-orders as needed
  • Ability to communicate with builders / clients about various aspects of their HVAC project as defined by the projects scope of work
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to the HVAC industry

We are looking for an experienced, full-time HVAC draftsman skilled in the following areas:

  • Residential a must, commercial experience a plus
  • Duct design
  • Performing energy calculations
  • J loads and proper system sizing
  • Manual drafting
  • CAD drafting
  • Estimating
  • Troubleshooting designs with field supervisor, technicians and installers
  • Knowledgeable on mechanical, building and energy codes

Required software skillset:

  • Microsoft office to include Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Wrightsoft Load Calculating Program for Manual J, N, D and S
  • Residential Energy Gauge
  • Commercial Energy Gauge Summit a plus
  • AutoCAD (at least 1 year)
